St. Ambrose Church's music program is dedicated to the very best in the Catholic Church's musical patrimony, from Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony to choral masterworks of the modern era. The music program is composed of the Parish Choir, the Children's Choir, and several cantors. These groups provide music for Masses on weekends and Holy Days, as well as for school liturgies. The choirs are combined with professional orchestral instrumentalists on Christmas and Easter to add a further sense of grandeur to these important celebrations.

Singers in the choirs strive to portray the truth of the Catholic faith through the beauty of music:

"Whether it is Bach or Mozart that we hear in church, we have a sense in either case of what Gloria Dei, the glory of God, means. The mystery of infinite beauty is there and enables us to experience the presence of God more truly and vividly than in many sermons."
[Pope Benedict XVI, The Spirit of the Liturgy, (San Francisco, CA: Ignatius, 2000), pp. 148]
